There isn’t much to discuss regarding specific differences among all the fast boats departing from Padang Bai to the Gili Islands. Almost all fast boats share specifications and similarities, from departure schedules to services and boat facilities, including the Golden Queen Fast Boat.
This fast boat departs from the Padang Bai harbor to three Gilis and Lombok. Its boat size is medium, smaller than Eka Jaya but slightly larger than fast boats like Manta Express or Gili Gili Fast Boat. The boat’s facilities are also quite similar to others.
Quoting from the official Golden Queen website, some of the boat facilities offered are as follows: “Golden Queen Fast Boat, where our boats are equipped with complete facilities such as AC (Air Conditioner), Sound System, Spacious Deck for taking pictures, Toilet, and Wider passenger space so that the distance between the seats is bigger and more comfortable.” However, it’s worth noting that sometimes facilities like the AC are occasionally turned off during engine issues. This applies to other boats as well.
The pricing offered by Golden Queen is also considered affordable. Similar to most other boats, the Golden Queen fast boat provides a relatively low price (Please check the price by booking the boat through our booking form).
Similar to other fast boat operators, Golden Queen also has a less favorable rating on Google Maps. However, it’s important to believe, as I’ve consistently emphasized, that guests often provide ratings to all fast boat services only in times of challenges during their journey. These challenges might include delays, subpar shuttle bus services, overcrowding, and less-than-friendly customer service.
When it comes to delays, it’s not fair to solely blame the fast boat provider, as numerous factors come into play. These factors include the limited size of the departure port leading to queues for all fast boats, adverse weather conditions necessitating reduced speeds, and many more.
In reality, these aspects are beyond the immediate control of the fast boat operator. It’s a common scenario in the transportation industry. As travelers, it’s essential to consider the bigger picture and the various complexities that impact the journey.
